Pongal celebration at our school BVM Global@Bollineni Hillside, Junior Block was indeed a very interesting event. This wonderful celebration took place on January 12, 2017. The children were dressed in color full traditional attire. The class 2 grade children made floral arrangement at the school entrance. Pooja was performed in front of the the Pongal (prasadam). The children of class 2 presented a speech on Pongal. The significance of four days celebration was explained to the children. It was followed by Thirupavai song. The children sang songs and slokas. The children exhibited their dancing skills by performing a traditional dance. They ended with the happy note of “Pongalo Pongal” – Happy Pongal. The prasadam was distributed to the children.
