MUN Organisational Session (11/11/16)
Session was conducted on 11/11/16 for the students of class VIII, IX and X, who will be a part of the upcoming BVMG MUN. Children were guided through the basic MUN structure and were divided into three different committees.
Chairs of each committee were introduced to all the students. Chairs were instructed to form e- mail threads for any further discussions. A power point presentation of the detailed MUN agenda was presented by the teachers and all the queries were cleared. Roles and duties of MUN Delegates, Chairs, Administrative staff and the press were explained in detail. Basic format of the position paper was discussed and a submission deadline was also set (23/11/16) for each position paper which needs to be submitted to the committee chairs.
MUN Guest Lecture (27/11/16)
A guest lecture was organised on 27th November, in which an expert session on MUN was delivered by Mr. Sai Sudaram, a prominent MUNer. Sai Sundaram is a 12th grade student from Sree Sankara higher secondary school who has attended close to 40 MUNs in many places in India as well as overseas in the past four years. The session started with the inaugural speech by Mr. R. Rajendran, Director of Education, BVM Global Group of Schools. He also welcomed the chief guest by presenting a memento and a tree sapling. It was followed by a detailed and well delivered session by Mr. Sai Sundaram who walked the students through the procedures to be followed at MUN. A question and answer session was also held at the end, which cleared all the doubts regarding the procedures and formalities of MUN session. Our principal Mr. P.G.Subramanian congratulated Mr. Sai Sundaram for sharing his expertise in the field of MUN and wished him luck for his future.
