National Math Day was celebrated on 22nd of December, 2017 with great enthusiasm to bring awareness on contributions made by the renowned Mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan.
In the KG Block, the programme commenced with a speech and was followed by shape dance and few activities in which students participated enthusiastically and prizes were distributed for the winners. In the Senior Block, students showcased interesting mathematical tricks such as Holography, Solving Rubix Cube, Reciting Poem about Math, Icosahedrons and Pascal’s triangle. The existence of Math in dance form was shown through Bamboo dance and classical dance. The Chief Guests of the day Mrs Radha Sudharshan and Mrs Shanthini pointed out the importance of Math and the application of simple calculation techniques one comes across in day-to-day life. The winners of the Math Club activities (Primary) were awarded certificates and prizes by the Chief Guests.
