St. John’s Public School, Jalladianpet, Chennai took the credit of hosting the State Level Chess Tournament, on 2nd of December, 2017. The tournament was restricted to participants from Chennai, Kanchipuram and Thiruvallur. Nearly 16 students from BVM Global Bollineni Hillside participated in the tournament under different categories. Their patience, enthusiasm and flair for the game could be noticed from the cautious moves they made. We are happy to announce that under the girls’ category of U-14, Miss Shree Soundharya of Class IX stood 4th out of 166 participants. Likewise, Master Arjun A.V, under the boys’ category of U-12 played very well and conquered the 4th position out of 72 participants. Master Anirudh Sai of Class 4 also was fortunate enough to secure 16th position out of 156 participants in U-10 boys’ category.
