On 17th of August 2017, Raksha Bandhan was celebrated with great pomp along with the soldiers of the17 JAK Rifle Regiment. The students of classes 6 to 11 were the audience to this joyful occasion.The guest of honour was Subedaar Ronald VPR. He was an education instructor in the army and had been serving the Nation since 1993. He spoke about the responsibilities of students as they are the future of India and the need for education to succeed in life.
The programme began with a prayer to the Almighty, followed by the welcome address and a speech on the significance of Raksha Bandhan and its history. Following this was a patriotic song and dance by students of class 7. The students of class 9 presented a fusion of western and classical dance. The students had the pleasure of witnessing the Army Band which played various patriotic songs. The students of BVMi school and the students of BVM Global Bollineni Hillside showed their brotherly love by tying Rakhis on the soldiers hands. The event concluded with the Vote of Thanks and the National Anthem. The students got a wonderful opportunity to see the various weapons used by the 17 JAK Rifle Regiment, displayed in the A.V. Room. The programme was an enriching experience for all the students.
